Current Angolan Immigration System
Angola has implemented a new online visa/permit application submission system, however, the system is not fully functional and seldom used. Most Angolans still prefer to submit their applications manually.
Furthermore, with the exception of the Oil and Gas Industry, most work permit applications are required to be submitted at an Angolan mission abroad before a foreign national may enter Angola in order to commence work activities.
In terms of our experience with the Angolan immigration, we’ve found that requirements and procedures are prone to change and are dependent on the particular Angolan mission processing the application. Each case is therefore required to be assessed on its own merits before a solution can be provided by ERA.
ERA is optimistic about the full implementation of the online application system as it is expected to standardise application requirements and improve processing times.
